Graduation from an accredited master’s program in nursing
Healthcare Provider BLS certification
Five years nursing management experience in a complex, high acuity setting
Knowledge of Human Resource Management, program development, fiscal management skills and familiarity with regulatory and accrediting agency standards
Able to professionally and effectively communicate (orally and in writing)
Your Job Responsibilities:

Oversees the daily operations and management of Critical Care Nursing in collaboration with the Medical director.
Collaborates with the Vice President Nursing to develop and implement a strategic plan for M/S Nursing. Attains all agreed to goals and objectives within specified time frames as part of the overall mission.
Collaborates with other departments to accurately identify real/potential problems affecting service, departmental/organizational goals and/or patient care delivery and implements solutions with follow-through and communication.
Demonstrates Human Resource management ability by coaching immediate subordinates, providing feedback and constructive critique of work, facilitating the development of their problem-solving and decision-making skills and documenting their job performance annually.
Demonstrates the ability to make decisions in a timely manner that is the best interest of the hospital.
Develops, implements and evaluates an ongoing emergency services program that ensures quality patient care consistent with the MHS mission.
Demonstrates communication skills including follow through that keeps all stakeholders up to date/informed and promotes teamwork.
Demonstrates fiscal accountability for department resources and the ability to achieve outcomes within allocated resources.
Takes responsibility for self-development.
Consistently demonstrates customer services skills as a priority.
Other duties as assigned.
