Responsibilities

The AN II is responsible for assisting with clinical management and administrative coordination of the nursing unit.  The position is a combination of clinical (direct care) and administrative responsibilities. Specialty in Spine/Orthopedic.

Qualifications

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
·      Meets CN III JD/PE
·      Career position, 90% minimum
·      Baccalaureate or Masters degree in Nursing with two years of recent acute care experience or
·      ADN/AA/Diploma with 3 years recent acute care experience

o   Maintains positive attitude towards unit and work, helping to build unit’s positive reputation
o   Consistently models right behaviors
o   Skills in coaching and assisting staff in:
- developing a plan of care including setting goals, monitoring and documenting progress
- implementing interventions that are pertinent to goals established in the plan of care
- evaluating the effective of interventions toward the attainment of established goals and
- recognizing the need to reassess or reset goal parameter
